The end of this month will end Dale's Contract with the Hospital.
Wondering if the next location will be given to her prior to it
ending will be interesting. Normally she would get another position
prior to the contract ending, but several issues are at hand. One is
if the economy has picked up on hiring travelers at hospitals and two
if her new company that acquired her older company gives her
seniority on position for employment. At one time the market was bad
at beginning of this year that at least 44 technicians were waiting
for work. Dale finally got a position at end of February while
waiting from end of December 2009. We know some that are still
without work. Hopefully it will keep improving for all of us.
Still running across repair issues. The alternator on the RV went out
and the RV brakes and bearings were due on routine maintenance. Then
the Jeep got jealous and wanted attention and the radiator had a
leak. On May 11th the Diesel fuel sender is being changed due to a
short. One thing being able to count your mileage in a normal use,
but the generator on top of the engine throws the estimated MPG all
off. So that is another expense. Then the Ice maker started acting up
in the RV too. Both vehicles are going on 8 years old. It looks like
a end in sight hopefully for awhile after May 11th. It is still
cheaper then doing payments on a new RV and car since both are paid off.
The weather in Louisiana is starting to get humid and hot and the A/C
is running more. So it will be nice to move on hoping some place to
get cooler.
Hope everyone is doing good and keep in touch.

Well we are about half way through this contract. Dale has been
enjoying the 5 days off and working weekends. Although the 16 hours
Saturday and Sunday have been rough, it makes it well worth it to
enjoy the rest of the week off to enjoy sight seeing and getting
things one.
We got the body work on the Rv done from the Fifth Wheel hitting us
in Ocala last December. It looks like it never happen and the Camping
world Collision center in Houston Texas did a fantastic job.
The weather has been wonderful and having the windows open have been
a blessing. Although the pollen has been extremely high this year. A
normal high is 1,500 and it has registered 3,000 on the scale. That
is only the drawback. We are fortunate to be able to handle our
allergies with a over the counter medicine. Not like some that need
shots or prescriptions.
It seems the economy is slowly coming back. I hope the crooks in Wall
Street behave for awhile. So much for trickle down economics in the
past. It stopped at the CEO's.
I hope everyone is doing good and keep in touch!

We are located in Louisiana, and Dale works a 32 hour shift on
weekends with call. We have been seeing a couple of things while
traveling over here. The residents of Cajun Country have been super
nice and helpful. Just don't cross them they told me. Dale's shift
gives us 5 days off to adventure out for seeing things.
It was a long wait for Dale to start up work again, but we had
several ugly weather locations offered and Louisiana came up and it
was perfect to stay south for the winter. Also being a different
location then we had been before.
The Rv has been good until we entered Louisiana and the Alternator
Fail light appeared. The good thing is while plugged into a
campground electric or running the generator, it helps keep the
batteries charged. Have an appointment next week to get it fixed.
The weather has been a day when a cold front comes through. Otherwise
it has been delightful during the rest of the week opening the
windows during the day. Almost like Florida weather in the winter time.
Hope everything is going well for everyone and glad to see the
economy slowly returning.
